The main activity line of UViS Technology Private Scientific and Production enterprise is the manufacture of automatic stationary and mobile equipment for the production of building materials, such as block and pourable foam concrete.
The stationary automatic equipment is designed for the manufacture of foam concrete blocks of different nominal sizes and specified density. The mobile equipment is meant for the manufacture of pourable foam concrete, used on construction sites to winterize roofs, walls and floors of industrial and residential facilities in skeleton-type monolithic construction technologies.
Foam concrete is cellular concrete of non-autoclaved curing (DSTU ÁÂ.2.7-45-96) representing artificial calculous material with uniformly distributed spherical shape cells from 0.1 to 3.0 mm in diameter, the volume of which makes 15-90 % of the concrete volume. It is produced as a result of natural hardening or heating of the aerated mixture composed of cement, siliceous component, water and foam.

The foam concrete is characterized by the following main parameters:
- Strengthy, which allows to manufacture various purpose structures out of it;
- Density varies between 300 and 1200 kg/m3, which indirectly characterizes the foam concrete porosity and practical application;
- Heat conductivity characterizes thermophysical properties of the concrete (the coefficient of heat conductivity is 0.07 - 0.2 W/m C), which provides for heat retention in the buildings and makes the wall surfaces warm;
- Vapour permeability provides for fast technological moisture removal from the material and for maintenance of normal humidity conditions in buildings, and helps to keep the air inside buildings fresh;
- Freeze-thaw durability is determined by its reserve porosity, neutralizing ice and water expansion by freeze without destruction of the material.
Foam concrete, being an effective thermal insulation and constructional-thermal insulation material, is nowadays widely used in more than 50 countries. The world experience has shown that the special technological features of foamed concrete allow to use it for multipurpose applications:
- Thermal and soundproofing insulation of floors;
- Thermal insulation of flat, mono-pitch and double-pitch roofs;
- Cavity filling, well backfilling, masonry grouting;
- Setting up pipeline monolithic thermal insulation;
- Production of building blocks (of different designation);
- Monolithic low-rise and individual house building.

The Company's initial experience in the production of block and pourable foam concrete enabled it to develop the main units and mechanisms of the equipment and integrated machinery to increase productive capacity and improve the quality of the material. At the same time all the equipment is always adjusted to the raw-material and technical resources available to the Customer, which allows to considerably reduce aggregate costs and to optimize the production on the whole. The produced machinery enables our Customers to turn out from 10 to 100 m3 of foam concrete a day on the stationary automated lines and 1.5-10 m3/hour of pourable concrete on the mobile units.
The 3D model shows an example of an equipment set providing for the production of from 50 m3 of foam concrete (one-shift operation) to 100 m3 of foam concrete (two-shift operation).

Apart from its major line of activity, the Company carries out reconditioning of concrete mixing units (CMU) in service and revitalization of CMUs, automatization of technological processes for different production fields along with composition of algorithms of any degree of complexity. We carry out replacement of outdated volumetric or weight batching for modern electronic weight batching using up-to-date microprocessor controllers and strain-gauge transducers. This work package also includes restoration or complete replacement of the following CMU parts: the pneumatical part, the mechanical part, the electrical power systems and control circuits, the mechanical batching systems.
The updated automated control and monitoring system for CMU batching and mixing line will enable the Customer:
- to batch the components in accordance with the nominal mix formulation (Production Procedures),
- to control the equipment condition constantly,
- to control the components route from the bins to the mixing machine,
- to control the components mixing cycle,
- to automatically record raw materials consumption, finished products and their production cost data.

All the works are carried out as based on the submitted by the Customer performance specifications.
The Company's latest line is the production and reconditioning of weight batching equipment:
- production and delivery of weighting equipment: truck scales (plate, platform), platform scales, crane scales, pallet scales;
- production and delivery of batching units: granular materials metering hoppers, belt metering conveyers, liquids batching-dispensing bins and multiple-component metering batchers.

UViS Technology Private Scientific and Production Enterprise: time for new building technologies.
UViS Technology Private Scientific and Production Enterprise (PSPE) has been operating in the markets of Ukraine and the CIS countries for 7 years and is one of the first developers, manufacturers and suppliers of up-to-date automated stationary and mobile equipment for the production of building materials, such as cellular concrete of non-autoclave curing - block and pourable foam concrete.

In the "Áèçíåñ-êëàññ" ("Business class") magazine issue No. 4(12), 2006 we discussed the main parameters and characteristics of foam concrete. Now let us turn to the issues of its production and the equipment sets for its manufacture.
The equipment we produce can be either stationary or mobile.
The stationary automated equipment is designed for the manufacture of foamed concrete blocks of different standard sizes and specified volume weight in factory conditions, with output capacity of 6-12 m3/hour. The mobile equipment is meant for the manufacture of foamed concrete in small work shops as well as directly at construction sites with the technologies of skeleton-type monolithic construction, with output capacity of 1.5-5 m3/hour.
Here are descriptions of some of the equipment sets for the manufacture of foamed concrete:
1. A mobile/stationary set based on a foam concrete mixing machine with a capacity of 400 liters and output of 1.5 m3/hour. The rated power consumption of the set is 12 kW/hour. The mixing machine is additionally complemented with a set of 20 high-precision molds with overall dimensions of 1400*600*600 mm and automatic water supply controller. The water batcher enables the Customer to solve the problem of water supply, which simplifies the process of water dispensing in the mixing machine and allows to increase of the productive capacity of the set on the whole.
The set allows a daily production of 10 m3 of foamed concrete blocks with dimensions of 100*300*600 or 200*300*600 mm. The prepared mix is unloaded from the mixing machine into the molds by compressed air (0.7 atm) discharged from the air compressor. At the average, one production cycle (loading-in the components - unloading to the mold) takes 15 minutes. The loading of cement and sand is carried out manually by volumetric batching.
2. A mobile/stationary set based on a concrete foam mixing machine with a capacity of 750 liters and output of 3 m3/hour. The rated power consumption of the set is 19.5 kW/hour. The mixing machine is additionally complemented with a set of 20 high-precision molds with overall dimensions of 1400*600*600 mm, an automatic water supply controller, 2 auger feeders, an air compressor and all the necessary auxiliary devices.
The set allows a daily production of 20 m3 of foamed concrete blocks with dimensions of 100*300*600 or 200*300*600 mm (in case of one-shift operation, whereas, if furnished with additional 40 molds and two-shift operation, the output can be 40 m3). The prepared mix is unloaded from the mixing machine into the molds by compressed air (0.7 atm) discharged from the air compressor. At the average, one production cycle (feeding-in the components - unloading to the mold) takes 15 minutes. The loading of cement and sand is carried out, as it was in the previous mode, manually by volumetric batching.
3. For greater outputs of up to 50 m3 of pre-cast foam concrete a day or more, we can offer a stationary high capacity automated equipment set, with manual labor minimized.
The equipment set comprises several sections:
- The material preparation section: sand charging bin, cement bin, water and foaming agent containers;
- The components preparation section: belt feeder moving the sand from the sand bin to the vibration screen for sieving off large-size inclusions, which can affect the quality of the end material or damage the mechanisms. The sand is moved further to the mixing section. The cement from the cement silo is delivered by the auger feeder to the mixing section. The components preparation section is also equipped with water heating facilities and, if necessary, water can be softened and purified, after which the foaming concentrate is diluted in the water.
- The mixing section: in this section we propose to use ÌÏÁ Ó1-1000 foam concrete mixing machine with a capacity of 1200 liters and an automation set.
- The molding section: the section where the ready foamed concrete is unloaded from the mixing machine to the charging bin. It is transported to the mold in two ways - by movement of the charging bin along the guide ways or by pumping with a special gerotor type pump - a special pump for foam concrete transportation. Currently we offer to our Customers two methods of foam concrete manufacture - the cassette method and a method based on cutting technology. The cassette method involves the use of partitioned molds, i.e. after the mold is filled with the foam concrete which is then heat-cured, the mold is disassembled and blocks of pre-set dimensions are produced. If the cutting method is used, an all-in-one-piece rectangular unpartitioned mold (body) is filled with foamed concrete and, after curing, cut with the cutting system to specified size blocks.
- The molds cleaning and lubrication section: Here the molds undergo the necessary cleaning and greasing and are prepared for the next filling.
- The finished products storage area: Usually the floor space for the finished products storage area is calculated on the basis of 7 days cure period required for finished blocks. The products are usually shipped to the buyers on Europallets with the use of hoisting mechanisms, normally forklifts.
The peculiarity of this set differing it from the previous ones is the application of the human factor minimizing principle due to the maximum use of mechanization of the components loading to the batching unit. The equipment is capable of producing daily 50-100 m3 of foamed concrete.
The present set will fully satisfy the needs of large companies requiring stable high capacity machinery. The fact that the production is highly profitable also matters, as, with a stable demand, the production pays off within one year.
All the equipment is supplied along with technical specifications, which provides for the future commissioning of the shop and stable work in the building materials market.
